Let’s start by talking a little bit about our founder, Sam. After graduating from university in the UK with a BA (Hons) Marketing degree, she dived headfirst into the world of digital marketing. Starting out client-side before moving into various agency roles, enabling a deeper understanding of what works best for clients when working with an agency. Sam moved to Australia in 2012, working with clients all around Australia at a web agency, before becoming frustrated with very dated practices that just weren’t generating results. Deciding the only way that she could bring her wealth of experience in digital marketing (with a specialist focus on eCommerce) and client management from the UK to Australia, she created Purple Effect in 2015.

Moving from upper management roles, Sam had to get stuck back in at the ground level, creating Google Ads campaigns, extensive keyword research for SEO, blogging… what was at first a shock to the system, very quickly paid off as she saw her campaigns come to life and working for her clients. It’s this deep understanding of the different digital channels that allows Purple Effect to launch and manage successful, data-driven campaigns for a huge variety of clients in completely different industries.

Since then Purple Effect has continued to grow, not only our wonderful client base but our team. Everyone is an expert in their own field, meaning we can each really focus on what is important for our clients and how to achieve it, combining years of expertise to propel our clients’ results beyond their highest expectations. And that might sound pretty cheesy but it’s true.
